Wip's Sprite Sheet so far

ITS ALIVE!

the first of the character sprite sheets is nearly done! i've used this sprite sheet to place the character into a (very basic) game engine.

this sheet shows:

Idle

Walk

Jump

Fall

Shoot

Hit

Master of the puppets!

this is just a quick post to give an example of the movement freedom of using puppets, note that the back can bend too, neck and head can move, and limbs can be moved as usual!

yes, it is a strange pose!

Wip's Puppet finished

i have now finished the puppet for the character Wip!

all of her limbs are on seperate layers allowing me to move her around in order to create a sprite sheet more efficiently than frame by frame re-drawn animation!

nearly done the base

i'm almost done with the base parts for Wip, its just her cyber arm to go
then i will move on to the next step, adding detail and shading!
on a side note i am also working on the animatic for project to help visualise the storyboard, however this is taking a back seat at the moment so i can finish off my sprite animation.

Layout for my puppet

i've made the base for my Wip sprite puppet

now its time to begin adding the parts on seperate layers

2D spritesheets!

its time for me to work on 2D spritesheets!

i've descided to take a different approach to creating these sprite sheets,

rather than redrawing the character for each frame in a sprite sheet i have descided to

create a movable puppet in photoshop of the characters i shall be animating

i have my character concept done, Wip the alien technician, now i need to "puppetize" her!
